Understanding Key Fabric Ratings

Denier (D) measures the thickness of the fibres used in a fabric and is an indicator of strength and durability. Hydrostatic head (HH) measures waterproof performance in millimetres, the higher the rating, the greater the water resistance. Considering these ratings together provides a clearer understanding of overall fabric quality and performance.
