Thoroughly tested.

We have just returned from a week at River Dart Country Park. Our first week away we camped at a site in Cheddar with our three grandchildren at the height of the summer. All four sleeping pics were used and we put the pitch up. It was a wonderful experience with plenty of room and the darkened bedrooms meant that everyone slept well.
At River Dart Country Park it was just myself and my wife, so we left one of the sleeping pics at home and didn't bother with the porch. We had a very comfortable holiday with a double airbed at one end, kitchen set up in the middle, and two extremely comfortable inflatable chairs at the other end which still left us with plenty of room.
Unfortunately the week we were away meant that we were bombarded first my Storm Ali, followed immediately by Storm Bronagh which battered us with winds of up to 60 mph.
Despite this the tent kept us bone-dry and the only damage we suffered was that the plastic O-rings on three of the guy ropes snapped. This was an easy temporary fix requiring no tools, and replacement O-rings are just a couple of quid. The tent stood up well to some horrendous conditions and we would not hesitate to recommend the Vango Santiago 800xl to anyone.
