For over 14 years we have worked directly with ShelterBox to ensure that the Vango relief tents offer the optimum protection and functionality needed to provide essential shelter to those in adverse circumstances.
From natural disasters in Haiti and conflict in Syria to bush fires in Australia, the Vango relief tents have provided shelter, and we hope some comfort, to thousands of disaster stricken communities across the globe. Over 28,000 tents were dispatched to Haiti alone, sheltering over 200,000 people in the aftermath of the devastating 2010 earthquake in Port au Prince. Current deployments are active in Nepal, Chile, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Niger, Cameroon and Vanutau.
ShelterBox and Vango work together to continually develop the equipment offered and provide training to volunteer ShelterBox Response Teams who are often amongst the first relief personnel in a disaster zone.
ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide. At the heart of every ShelterBox is a family tent, custom made by Vango and is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, high winds and heavy rainfall. Internally, each tent has moveable privacy partitions that allow recipients to divide the space as needed.
