This year the youngest Scouts of the 93rd Braes, Falkirk asked if we could make our last camp of the year a Spooky Halloween Scout camp.
We embraced the idea and we set about planning what we could do up in our local site Barrwood Scout Campsite, Falkirk.
We arranged for 24 Cubs to stay over for the Saturday Night, 14 Scouts, 8 Explorers participating in their Duke of Edinburgh Award training camp, with 14 Leaders.
We set up to a campsite for Leaders and our Cubs, who are still young, aged between 8 and 10 years old and on the other site, we had our Scouts, aged 10-14 years old, with our Explorers on DofE
These Scout recommended tents were ideas due to their compact size and lightweight structure and they have proven to be able to stand up to all sorts of weather, which we find is the case for all the Vango tents we use.
Over the weekend the group did lots of fun badge work, from building a witch’s caldron stand to the spooky Zombie run night challenge and to top it off we had a Nerf battle and Vango disco in the barn.
It was a fun-filled weekend and they were all in bed by 10 pm on Saturday night and we didn’t hear a peep out of them all
