Here We Tow review the Vango Florence 420 Caravan Awning

As summer nears to an end it is time to think about the autumn and winter caravanning seasons and that means an awning that is able to easily cope with all seasons and all the weather has to throw at it.

The Florence 420 offers a generous outdoor space for all seasons and is ideal for sited and seasonal caravans. It’s also perfect for winter touring if you like a larger awning for the family and are taking longer trips.

At 415cm wide and 320cm at it’s maximum depth there is room for everyone inside.

The Sentinel TenCate fabric is designed to withstand the winter weather and is durable and long lasting. Even on a dull winters day the vista front with large bay windows lets in plenty of light and there are curtains for added privacy when needed.

The Vango skyliner is included and provides both insulation and shade depending on the time of year.

The Florence 420 can be used all year round and in the summer months the two large side doors and side windows can be zipped out, bringing the outdoors in and keeping the awning cooler on warm days.

Additional mesh panels can be inserted to keep out any unwanted insects and allow the flow of fresh air.

The Florence 420 comes with the Vango draught seal system, there are no poles against the side of the caravan as it now has foam pads that can be interchanged to provide a tight seal against the side of your caravan even if you need to go over a window.

There is also a draught skirt and wheel arch cover to keep out that winter wind from under the caravan sealed with hook and loop against the awning itself and all this adds to the insulation of the awning, ideal for evenings when you still want to sit outside and enjoy a meal.

A new improvement on the Florence 420 is the added buckle system on the floor straps across the doors. These can be unclipped and removed if needed to prevent any trips which is certainly handy.

If you want to customise your Florence then there are a number of accessories available from Vango these are extremely easy to add with the SkyTrack II® System including strip LED lights, awning carpet and a useful annex and bedroom pod.

The Florence 420 is a durable and eye catching awning, based on the popular Kalari shape, and perfect for all seasons giving a great view around with the bay style windows. The Florence 420 takes about twenty five minutes to put up and everything you will need is in the bag including air pump, pegs and a mallet.
