The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is celebrating 60 years
This year the Duke of Edinburgh's Award will celebrate 60 years of encouraging, nurturing and helping 14 to 24 year olds to be the very best that they can be. As part of the DofE’s Diamond Anniversary celebrations to take part in theironce-in-a-lifetime DofE-inspired Diamond Challenge and raise funds to help transform young lives near you. Anyone, from anywhere, of any age can take part.
How can you get involved with the DofE Diamond Challenge?
Sign up now for £20 (£15 for under 18s) and receive an exclusive Challenger Kit – complete with t-shirt and Challenge Companion, a journal and keepsake to help you at each stage of your challenge; from choosing, to planning, taking part and remembering it forever. Remember: You can go it alone or form a group – the choice is yours!
To complete your Challenge, raise a minimum of £60 – it is their 60th birthday after all, and be rewarded with a limited edition DofE Diamond Challenge pin and certificate to help commemorate your achievement.

How will Vango be getting involved?
To celebrate our 50th birthday and the 60th anniversary of the DofE, the Vango team are taking on a Cyclothon Challenge to raise money for a great cause which enables young people across the UK to get out in the great outdoors, helping them develop key life skills that can shape their future.
The whole Vango team will be getting involved to support this fantastic cause and we plan to cycle over 1050 miles in two days by cycling to work and taking part in an indoor cycle relay. This will take place between the 30th-31st of March 2016, please support us by making a donation and help the DofE to continue their great work with young people in the UK. https://www.justgiving.com/vangocyclothon.
Who else is getting involved?
On Tuesday 12 January, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award launched their Diamond Anniversary with a show-stopping event in Covent Garden. Kicking off the year with a challenge to the public to climb the height of Ben Nevis in one day on an outdoor climbing wall. A number of Britain’s most-loved celebrities turned up to scale the wall and show their support, including TV personalities Julia Bradbury, Davina McCall, Arlene Phillips, Alice Beer, Jon Culshaw, Matt Johnson, Radio DJ Greg Burns and Olympian Zac Purchase.
