The Keebles - Varkala Connect
Vango Ambassadors - Simon and Kathrine Keeble
We are keen caravanners and the weather never stops up going away so it seemed a good idea to take our caravan away back in March when the snow came down and brought most of the country to a standstill. We headed off to Kessingland to try out our new Varkala Connect. As you can see from the pictures the sun came out, the snow cleared and made way for wind. Entertaining but I have to say despite the wind, the awning went up without too much of a struggle. Happy days!
Our next trip out was to the Coniston in the Lake district in April. The weather was a lot better and we even saw sunshine. The awning went up so much quicker the second time as by now we knew what to expect. We also put the extension on this time. This awning is amazing and gives so much extra space and takes minutes to put up. The extension was easy to connect to the main awning just remove the door and connect. We spent most of our break away sitting in the awning in the evenings, eating meals and it gave us so much room. The dogs also enjoyed being able to sit with us in the awning rather than be tied up outside.
We were only home for a matter of days when we missed being away so booked a local site in Melton to take full advantage of the fantastic sunny May bank holiday weekend. Arrived late in the afternoon as it was all a bit last minute but with setting the caravan up and putting the awning up we were sitting down with a nice cold beer within the hour which we were very impressed with. The awning was a godsend to get away from the sun but also the fact that you can take the doors and windows off which leaves you with a gazebo attached to your caravan was lovely and also so easy to put everything back on or just unzip the windows to let some air in.
We now feel like pros when putting up this awning as it's so quick and easy and we have had many comments from other caravanners who were watching us put it up saying how easy we made it look and they were very impressed with how sturdy it is!
