sally

So firstly, how long have you been working with Vango?

I am one of the new recruits at Vango. I started in February 2012 as a Marketing Assistant

Describe a typical day in the Vango office…

We start at 8:30am with a freshly brewed cuppa to start us off. The dress code at Vango is very relaxed and we always have music playing in the background. I usually have a list of projects that I am working on which I prioritise each morning, however I also have requests emailed to me throughout the day which I slot into my schedule too. The main projects that I have worked on so far are creating adverts and promotions for our family and weekend range.

What qualifications / experience do you need to be able to work as a Marketing Assistant?

For this role you need to be creative and have the ability to turn an idea into a tangible and effective outcome. I graduated with an honours degree in International Business and did a summer work experience in a Marketing department.

What would you say are the best parts of your job?

Every day has a new challenge and I get to work on lots of diverse exciting projects. Working with Vango I feel that I learn something new every day which is fantastic.

Do you go camping?

I normally camp at festivals as I love the atmosphere and music aspect to them.

Where is your favourite place to camp?

T in the park

Do you have any funny camping/outdoors stories to share with our fans?

My first time at T in the Park the weather was terrible and being student’s we bought a £5 pop up tent. My clothes, my sleeping bag and my belongings were soaking and to make it worse the people next to us were nice and dry in their Vango tent and laughed at us. A LOT!!

If you could go camping with any one famous, living or dead, who would it be?

It would have to be Jacob from Twilight as he kept Bella nice and warm when they stayed in a tent so I would expect him to do the same for me!

And finally… what would you choose as your favourite product of 2012?

It’s a hard choice as all the products have something unique about them however as I am more of a Glampor it would have to be the Airbeam Velocity 200 tent. It pitches in under 4 minutes, it is pole free and saves lots of pitching arguments and leaves more time for relaxing with a chilled glass of wine . . . what more could you want!!
