      Great Choice !

I like to camp out in the wild. I don’t do campsites. So I want a rugged tent that’s going to be quick to erect and easy to put up in inclement weather especially snow. I chase the roomy Ostro 300 so I can bring a buddy winter camping to replace my Army Surplus Tent which was too heavy. Really great quality construction especially on seams and zips. Inner pitches first. But there is no messing sliding poles through sleeves, the inner is clipped to the pole structure. I comfortably put it up in 9 mins first time ie ½ the specified time. The outer then clips onto the inner and lends superb wind survivability due to the geodesic form. Absolutely a delight to put up even in high winds. The inner is self-supporting so if you are camped out on hard ground you can still pitch quickly. My only concern was the sewn-in groundsheet (6000mm) seemed a little lightweight but the additional groundsheet approx. +10% of RPP fixes that AND gives you the ability to leave it out if you need to cut weight. So in a nutshell I’m delighted BUT, I’m going to add the groundsheet just in case. I saw the “Nemesis 300” but selected this as it’s a better colour against the snow or cloudy/ misty conditions. Roll on winter ! 
