      Outdoor Enthusiast Review

The Vango Nemesis trekking tent combines everything that hardy adventurers need for pitching up in unpredictable weather and on mixed terrain. The fully geodesic design and free standing pole structure – with seven crossover points – offers significant strength, stability and wind resistance; while the Protex 70D 5,000mm HH polyester flysheet is designed to be highly waterproof and durable. Available in both two (SRP £225) and three man (SRP £250) options, the Nemesis comes in at a lightweight 3.9kg (two man) or 4.2kg (three man) and offers an extra-large porch space, as well as separate areas for storage, sleeping and wet changing. Also with an oversized opening in the tent bag and by offering flysheet and inner pitch together, pitching and packing away has never been easier.

      Better than the extensive rivals

I decided to buy a new four season tent and scoured the Internet for hours reading reviews researching what to buy and I didn't really have a budget in mind, I wanted something that was geosedic, two entrances, weatherproof and reliable. The nemesis popped up a couple of times and being an avid vango and I took a closer look I liked what I saw.
I shopped around and managed to pick one up for 145 pounds,at that price I was expecting wild Country quality or Tnf quality but how wrong can you be.
It was delivered next day the pack size was good and from the oversized compression bag you could see the material the flysheet was made ripstop good quality. Some people will find the tent a little heavy at 3.9kg and yes if your lightweight backpacking for one it is too heavy, however split between two it's respectable at 1.9kgs each, however weight is not an issue for me I use my tent as a Base and explore from there so you burn a few calories getting it there and back getting you fitter but you reap the benefits of the extra space once your there.
I use this tent on my own and for one it's like a palace, it has two porches I use one for storage and the other for entry/exit and cooking when the weather does not permit, what vango doesn't mention is that both porches fold up so you use one as your storage space and one rolled up with a tarp gives a massive open space and gives great ventilation.
I'm 6ft 1 and weigh 17 stone so I'm not a small fellow by any means I've struggled in my past tents but the space in here is more than generous, I can sit up and not just in the middle with ease and there is plenty of room at the side of me when I lie down. It's easy big enough for two people, I recently camped in Buxton in 50 mile an hour winds and the tent took it in its stride it also rained heavily and no problems with that.
In all its a great tent made very well and more than able to cope with harsh weather.
I was worried at first as there were no Internet reviews on this tent but I took the plunge and I'm more than happy with the result.
So before you go off and invest in a more expensive brand I suggest you try this beauty out and in over 25 years of camping/hiking experience on my opinion you will not be let down
      Thanks Vango
